Jim Wood, M.D. completed his residency at Carolinas Medical Center and fellowship at Yale University. He has practiced in Charlotte, NC, since 2001 and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Duties with the academic appointment include providing medical education to medical students and residents and managing housestaff inpatient internal medicine teams. Dr. Wood got his start in utilization review during his fellowship and has a broad-ranging experience in this arena. He served as a physician advisor for Carolinas HealthCare System for over 2 years.
